About Our Ministry
A registered Canadian charity rooted in Spruce Grove, Alberta, built on faith, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to widows.
Born From a Community's Call
In 2015, a group of compassionate individuals in Spruce Grove, Alberta recognized a gap in local support services — widows navigating the painful aftermath of losing a spouse were doing so largely alone.
What began as informal gatherings in living rooms and church halls grew steadily into a formal charitable organization. By 2016, the Blessing Widows Ministry Society was officially registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a nonprofit entity (Charity No. 843378910RR0001), marking the beginning of a structured, sustainable mission to serve Alberta's widows.
Today, we operate from our base in Spruce Grove, welcoming widows and their families from across Alberta into a community defined by warmth, dignity, and genuine care. Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers brings together expertise in social work, counselling, financial literacy, and community development.
