Learn more →We walk alongside widows and their families in Spruce Grove and Alberta, providing emotional support, practical resources, and a caring community where every woman knows she is not alone.
Guided by faith and driven by compassion, we are committed to transforming lives one family at a time.
The Blessing Widows Ministry Society exists to provide holistic, compassionate support to widows and their families across Alberta. We meet women in their grief, stand with them through transitions, and equip them with the resources, community connections, and personal empowerment they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Through practical assistance, emotional care, and faith-based encouragement, we ensure that no widow in our community faces her journey alone. Every programme we offer is designed with respect for her unique story and unwavering belief in her strength.
We envision an Alberta where every widow is seen, valued, and fully supported — where the loss of a spouse does not mean the loss of community, financial security, or a hopeful future. We are building a province-wide network of care that reaches widows in every corner of Alberta, from urban centres to rural communities.
Our vision is a society in which widows and their children thrive: financially stable, emotionally healed, spiritually grounded, and deeply connected to a community that celebrates their resilience and honours their journey.
Founded in 2015 in Spruce Grove, Alberta, the Blessing Widows Ministry Society grew out of a simple but profound conviction: no woman should grieve alone.
What began as a small gathering of concerned community members has grown into a fully registered Canadian charitable organization serving hundreds of families across Alberta. We are a diverse, welcoming ministry that honours every woman's background, culture, and faith.
